Adult

In 2012 we hope to see great additions to our adult ministries.
Already we are blessed with great Sunday School, bible studies and ministry to our seniors. Presently we have four adult Sunday school classes with a new class beginning November 20th. We are also blessed with a bible study for men on Monday, for women on Wednesday evening, and a mixed bible study on Wednesday.

Adult Education
In 2012 we will expand our adult study opportunities by offering short elective classes that will be topical in nature. Topics may include “Parenting”, “Leadership”, “What We Believe”, “Discovering Our Gifts” etc… These classes will be designed both for those who are presently attending Sunday school and those new to Sunday school. As classes become available, a display will be set up in the foyer with information, sign up sheets and information on any material needed for the class.

Roaming Stone
This Senior Program is, in reality, an out-reach program as well as an
in-house endeavor. Anyone in the community is welcome to participate. The plans for 2012 will include our main out-reach of providing “Dessert and A Movie” every month for the Dawson and Lumpkin County Senior Centers. Roaming Stones provide the dessert and movie for all, including diabetics. Our once a month trips to a historic or fun place and lunch will begin again in March. Our December luncheon party and Christmas Tree ends our year.
· Another program which includes seniors, is the “Knit Wits.” A group of senior ladies knit every Monday making preemie caps and blankets and chemo caps for several hospitals in the area. We welcome younger
women who knit or crochet or want to learn how.

Fellowship
Fellowship is a very important part of our weekly time together. At CCC we enjoy great fellowship at our Wednesday evening meal. We also have activities throughout the year designed to get us all together. In 2012 we can expect Sunday carry in dinners, an ice cream social, chili cook off and more.
