Ministries

In Proverbs 29 we read in the King James version of the Bible; “Where there is no vision the people perish.” Nehemiah
believed in vision and it led him to action when he learned that the walls of Jerusalem were in ruin. After days of prayer and seeking the Lord’s direction a vision was born to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem. What followed was nothing short of amazing. In only 52 days, despite the opposition of his enemies, the poverty of his people, inadequate experience, and lack of tools and
supplies, Nehemiah and the people of Israel built back the wall bringing stability to the nation and honor to the Lord.
Today our Lord is still calling us to vision. The challenge has been given to go into all the world making disciples of all nations. It is our time, as with Nehemiah to seek the Lord, develop vision, and move forward bringing honor to Jesus Christ.
In the next few years we are going to begin maturing a vision that starts by involving the entire body in ministry. In Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12 and Ephesians 4 we are taught that God blesses his people with a variety of gifts, talents and passions. While our gifts vary, we are all gifted and are called to use our gifts in service to the Lord.
In 2012, we will start using a “Ministry Team” approach to ministry. The goal of our ministry system will be to engage our entire congregation in ministry. Many will be called upon to lead ministries and all will be called upon to serve. In the pages to follow, we will be introduced to the 2012 ministry system at
Cornerstone Christian Church. We will be introduced to our
ministry area leaders, and
get a glimpse of the goals and needs of each area . Finally we will see a summary of the “2012
Stewardship Plan”
I pray that you will catch this vision and become an active
participant in the ministry at Cornerstone Christian Church.
In Christ,
Mike
