Mike Frazier, Senior Minister
Mike Frazier came to Cornerstone in 2011 continuing his 22nd year serving the Lord and the church. Before coming to Cornerstone, Mike served churches in Tennessee, Kentucky, and Indiana. For three of those years, Mike served as the stateside director for Hearing & Receiving Christ ministries, a mission based in Zimbabwe, Africa.
It only took one visit for Mike and Kim (his wife of 24 years) to realize that they wanted to make Cornerstone their home. Mike and Kim have three children, Andrew, Nathan and Blake.
Mike is a Graduate of Johnson Bible College and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with majors in Bible and Preaching. Besides working at the church, Mike enjoys date night with Kim, playing basketball, boating, playing on his tractor, spending time in the mountains, vacations on a beach, and long drives with the top down in his convertible. Mike and Kim look forward to serving the Lord and working with the Cornerstone family to build a ministry that will touch lives for Jesus Christ. Mike loves to preach, and lead people to serve the Lord so don’t be surprised if Mike walks up to you and says; “So where do you want to serve?”
Joe Gaines, Associate Minister
Nathan Holmes, Student Minister
Nathan Holmes was born and raised in near-by Gwinnett County. Nathan and His wife, Lindsey met in their home church’s youth group when they were in high school. After they were married in 2003, they eventually made their way to the Dawson County area where they currently live. Nathan and Lindsey began to grow their family starting in 2006 and have been blessed with three amazing children: Luke, Kileigh & Abby.
Nathan attended Atlanta Christian College in East Point Georgia from 2000 till 2003, where he studied for a B.A. in Biblical Studies with a minor in Youth Ministry. He has been working with students since 1999 and has been the Student Minister of Fusion Student Ministries since 2010 and over the Outreach Ministries starting 2012. His passion for ministry has led him all across the United States as well as youth work in England and Mexico. Nathan loves spending time with his family, hiking the mountain trails of North Georgia (pretty much anything outdoors really), and sitting around drinking coffee talking about theology, the church, life in general or if Adam and Eve really had belly buttons. Nathan’s deepest desire is to see God move in the hearts and lives of the people here in Dawson County through the ministries here at Cornerstone.
Melissa Tidwell, Children Director
Melissa Tidwell was born in Greensboro NC. She grew up in Orlando FL graduating from the University of Central Florida. Her first steps in following Christ was mentored and developed by the loving people of First Christian Church Orlando. She is a 25 year veteran of marriage and has two children. Melissa relocated with her family to north Georgia in 2002. She has found her passion in watching the awe and wonder of children as they learn to experience God in a personal way. A perfect day would be hiking to the top of a mountain and watching the clouds go by as she shares an orange with her husband. Melissa‘s goals in life are to impact children for Christ and never outgrow playing in the bounce house!
Deron Morrison, Worship Minister
Born in Atlanta, Ga. My family is from Atlanta and have been Georgians since before the Civil War. I'm a true Ga. native!! I was baptized in 1976 at Mt. Carmel Christian Church by Jack Ballard Later grew up in Suwanee and attended North Gwinnett High School We started attending Cornerstone in 2001, we transfered from Bethel Methodist also in Dawsonville. Became the Worship Director in May of 2007 Currently employed as Head Tech for Unique Refinishers Inc. out of Sugar Hill. 21 years. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Jill and a talented daughter, Tabitha 14 Music is my passion and hobby. I enjoy spending my free time going to Tabitha's travel softball tournements and basketball games.
