2011 into 2012
2011 was a great year! Fusion experienced a great deal of growth both numerically and in maturity. Our teaching environments really began to dig into the issues that hit close to home for the students.
· Our biggest change was the addition of a new Sunday night environment called Collision. This was the natural next step for our ministry and the students are really responding to it.
· Fusion also added a new kind of opportunity for our students to minister to others called The RSS Project. This is a time that our students plan their own “podcast” that reaches out to other students that are facing tough times in their lives. A great opportunity for our students, and for their friends.
Looking Ahead
Looking ahead to twenty twelve I am very excited about what’s ahead.
· Besides having lots of work to do in the new environments started last year, I look forward to focusing more time on what is the most important, relationships.
· I also want to spend more time working on one of our key goals, Hangin out, Reachin out, Workin out, Livin out and Actin Out. Actin out, or
service to others, has always been dragging .
· Starting in 2012, I want to use more opportunities to engage the
community through service.
· Additionally, relationships are vital in a student ministry and the coming year I want to spend more time engaging students and helping our
current students engage their friends for Christ.
· Lastly, our students have to begin to understand their presence in the ministry is huge, so I want to continue to build an emphasis on strong student ministry participation.
If you are asking yourself, “how can I help”, here are a few small ways that have a huge benefit.
First, parents, help your students make the student ministry their priority.
· If you don’t have students in the ministry, help hold other students
accountable. I want every student to know that they are needed here, and they are missed.
· Also, if you have opportunities for service that our students can participate in, please let anyone on staff know so that we can get the students plugged in.
· Lastly, build relationships with our students, a connected student is more open to growth and guidance than one that hangs on the edges of our ministry, so plug them into a relationship today.
Thank you everyone for your continued prayers and support.
